The working group comprised of representatives primarily from the industry or the non-wood forest produce/medicinal, aromatic and dye plants based pharmaceutical companies. The group was entrusted with evolving fair, average quality norms, which would outline standard quality methods. For this, Fair, Average Quality (FAQ) norms will need to be developed by the industries. This will provide a benchmark for the producers entailing requisitions from industries for pre-determined specifications. The group therefore deliberated upon the various FAQs for various kinds of products.      

 They considered the importance of maintenance of a fair average quality for NWFP in the state. The committee arrived at a conclusion that average standard quality is to be maintained for NWFP in general and required recommendations for particular standard maintenance are being given:
